I drive 80mph+ on a regular basis, and have never endangered anybody. It's all about the conditions, and speed isn't necessarily the evil. If you need proof, look at the autobahn. People drive 175-225mph in the left lane on a regular basis, but accident rates don't soar. Why? Because the roads are built better and because the people behave more appropriately.
Eg. The left lane is only for passing. Never pass in the right lane, and watch for traffic moving faster than you so that you can get out of its way.
That doesn't happen here in America because the average driver is insufficiently tested, is distracted by cell phones etc, and is an arrogant asshole who likes to inconvenience others.
