I am driving a Hyundai Elantra with the correct setting for wing mirrors. I never needed a head back or convex mirrors to see what is happening in the blind spots. I do use a convex mirror on my passenger side, at near bottom corner in contradiction to the opinions here. What I need to see is only the curb when I park. Because, you can see a car coming from behind will start to appear at near to driver in the mirror and as it approaches, it will go to the farther end. When it is closest, it will be at the extreme far end of the mirror. So by this adjustment, the convex mirror lets me see when the vehicle start to tail me and curbs when parking. You may try this.
