I think the insurance industries figures are skewed - you can crunch numbers any way you like, especially if that is what you do for a living. Most of the senior riders I know do what they can to stay alive - ride sober, avoid rush hour when possible, never ride at night. You can keep your helmets; I'll take my freedom to chose.
