3008 Peugeot RCZ HYbrid4 and HYbrid4 - the premiere in Frankfurt

Peugeot present the Auto Salon from Frankfurt to hybrid technology - diesel electric - two new models: the 3008 crossover coupe and the RCZ. Peugeot 3008 HYbrid4 will enter production in 2011, offering full traction 4x4 model.

On the 63 th edition of the Auto Show in Frankfurt, Peugeot is seeking to demonstrate once again its willingness and ability to combine driving pleasure with the efficiency of fuel consumption, presented its vision for mobility of tomorrow.

Elegance, creativity, technology performance, conceptual innovation: they are the main characteristics that best describe the 32-series models and concepts on the surface of 2900 square meters of exhibition.

Peugeot is the inventor and leader in the diesel particulate filter, and earlier this decade, has equipped this system with over 2.1 million cars with HDi engines. Today, Peugeot is also a leader among European countries in terms of CO2 emissions and low fuel consumption vehicles. This performance is illustrated in its stand at the Frankfurt show by several vehicles with the lowest CO2 emissions of pollutants in category: 207 "99g", 107 "106g" 308 hatchback "120g", 407 "129g" and 3008 " 130g.

French manufacturer is also preparing a comprehensive urban electric vehicle to be launched at the end of 2010 and launch the second generation of the "start & stop" in 2011. Meanwhile, in Frankfurt, presents its new diesel hybrid technology called "HYbrid4.

This hybrid technology is a parallel architecture: an alternative operation between HDi diesel engine and electric engine to ensure optimum efficiency depending on how the car is driven - in the city or outside it. When used simultaneously, the two propulsion units provide an increase of dynamic performances and the result is a decrease in fuel consumption by approximately 35% compared with the propulsion engine solely on internal combustion equivalent.

Moreover, the solution HYbrid4 with electric engine placement on the rear deck offers another benefit - full traction, no problems with the mechanical connection. This advantage is presented by Peugeot at the Frankfurt model number 3008 HYbrid4, already announced to launch on the market in 2011, and RCZ HYbrid4 concept that still remains to experimental study.

In addition to these new hybrid models, Peugeot will present at the Auto Show in Frankfurt (15-27 September 2009) RCZ coupe and the new 5008 - a new interpretation of classic MPV model.
