U.S. demands more oil

United States Tuesday urged oil-producing countries, including members of the Organization of Petroleum Exporting Countries (OPEC) to increase oil supplies in response to the recent increase in oil prices, Mediafax.

"In recent months we have witnessed increased demand amid economic recovery, which led to the increase in quotes, and we expect that all oil producing states to increase production for markets in response to this trend," said U.S. Secretary of State Power, Daniel Poneman.
