Alfa Romeo Giulietta and BMW 5-5-star Euro NCAP, Mazda CX-7 only four

Euro NCAP today unveiled the latest results of safety tests carried out with three new cars: Alfa Romeo Giulietta, BMW 5 Series and the Mazda CX-7. Of these, only Mazda CX-7 has disappointed, gaining only 4 out of 5 stars.
Following the new safety test session, Euro NCAP has released results for the three cars launched on the market recently. Of these, BMW 5 Series received the highest score for pedestrian protection, with a respectable percentage of 78%. The machine has an active engine hood so that the impact with a pedestrian, it rises from its original position and create more space for absorbing energy that usually causes injuries. BMW 5 Series also received a percentage of 100% in support for security systems, car having standard electronic stability control (ESP), front and rear belt warning and set the drive speed limiter .
Alfa Romeo Giulietta was able to overcome Volkswagen Golf - the safest car in the compact class, tested in 2009. With a score of 35 points (97%) for adult protection, 42 points (85%) to protect occupants and children 23 points (63%) for pedestrian protection, Alfa Romeo Giulietta is now the safest car in its class so far tested by Euro NCAP.
Obtained Mazda CX-7 lowest rating in this test session - 4 stars (76% for adult protection, child occupant protection 79%, 43% to 71% for pedestrian protection, and support equipment with safety systems).
