Audi A3 etron prototype electric range of 140 km

Electric-car family is the throne of the German manufacturer Audi is still a member on which the company recently revealed. Audi A3 s-throne prototype is 100% electric powered and provides a range of approximately 140 km.

Audi A3-tron is not anything different from the outside by a series version A3 but the interior is remarkable revised instrument panel, upholstery leather / alcantara, heated windscreen and air conditioning system optimized.

Under the hood, the prototype Audi A3 e-tron has an electric motor 60 kW/82 hp and 270 Nm of overboost function that increases power to 100 kW/136 hp. It is powered by a battery pack 30 kWh Li-Ion 26.5, liquid cooled, placed in the central tunnel and under the trunk (there remains a space of 265 liters of luggage). This setup gives the vehicle an acceleration from 0-100 km / h in 11.2 seconds and a top speed limited to 145 km / h.

Autonomy is about 140 miles on a single battery charge. This can be recharged from a normal 230V outlet in about 9:00 or from an industrial (400V) in four hours.
