Audi A9 Planned For 2014

To achieve its objective of becoming a premium class leader by 2015, Audi continues to launch new models. While the range extends down to the A1 and A2 imminent, the German manufacturer is planning a new flagship - A9.

Audi plans to launch a coupe / cabriolet A9, which could be launched in 2014, writes Car Magazine. So far details are scarce, but the new Audi flagship model will be a large class coupe-style, two-door model based on the current A8.

Internally known as A9, this luxury four-seater model will have a great exterior and interior design education A8. The model will be built at its plant in Neckarsulm, A8 and R8 together.

Structurally, the future of Audi A9 will be very attractive, according to sources who saw the original design drawings. A convertible version, the fabric roof is flat and could also be launched on the market in 2015.

If it materialized, in terms of price, A9 Audi BMW 6 Series will be over but under Mercedes-Benz CL. It will cost 85,000 euros.

Regarding the engines, the new Audi A9 could get TFSI petrol power units from 300 to 520 hp and diesel engines with power between 250 and 350 hp. Quattro will be standard traction and eight-speed automatic transmission.
