Avtovaz will occur in 2014 for Renault Logan

Avtovaz largest car manufacturer in Russia, will begin production of the Logan and Sandero models from the company's main factory in Togliatti since 2014, according to an article in Russian newspaper 'Vedemosti', citing anonymous sources.

Avtovaz, producer of Lada cars, will take on next Logan and Sandero, and a new model of the Japanese company Nissan Motor Co. and its own models, says Russian daily newspaper, quoted Agerpres.

Renault recently inaugurated its second production line at its plant in Avtoframos (Moscow), which will allow doubling the production capacity of this facility to 160,000 units per year.

For this program expansion, Renault has invested a total of 150 million dollars and hopes to use the new program 'piece' that started in Russia.

Also, Renault Sandero production started at the plant in Avtoframos, it will be added Logan, who last year was the best-selling foreign car in the car market in Russia. Renault is planning to introduce a third model, Duster SUV in late 2011.

Renault holds a 25 percent stake in Avtovaz, a company that has received numerous injections of capital from the state.
