BMW 1 Series is preparing hybrid - spy camera

BMW will launch a hybrid version, and Series 1, proving that technology is not only dedicated ActiveHybrid top of range models, such as BMW X6 and 7 Series. The hybrid will compete directly with the Lexus LF-Ch.

In launching the new BMW ActiveHybrid X6, company officials said that BMW will produce and other hybrid models in the near future. Rumors that the new Series 5 range will receive a hybrid version, but yet we know with certainty that the BMW 1 Series tested a prototype of hybrid propulsion.

Photos spies have caught BMW 1 Series model engraved "Hybrid Test Vehicle" (hybrid vehicle test), demonstrating that the BMW hybrid system is designed exclusively superior range models.

Released in version number, the new BMW 1 Series ActiveHybrid will compete directly with the recently announced compact Lexus, Lexus LF-planned concept Ch in Frankfurt in September. Japanese model is similar in size as the BMW 1 Series, but will be offered only in hybrid version, while the 1 Series can be ordered with a traditional engine.
