BMW Concept assets - a BMW 1 Series electric ready for Detroit

BMW has revealed that it will present the world premiere at the Detroit Auto Show in January, only electric powered concept based on the current BMW 1 Series Coupe. Assets Concept has a 170 hp electric motor and an autonomy of 160 km.

Weighing 1800 kg and with a center of gravity, the vehicle meets all requirements to provide agile dynamic properties, typical BMW 1 Series.

Thus, the concept BMW assets accelerates from 0-60 km / h in 4.5 seconds and from 0-100 km / h in less than 9 seconds. Maximum speed is electronically limited 145 km / h. Like the MINI E, autonomy is expected to be approximately 160 km with a fully charged batteries, and depending on conditions and driving style, even 240 km / h. BMW has integrated the latest technology to package the battery charge, so the vehicle can be powered from a single outlet or at special stations. The European network, the batteries can be loaded in less than 3 o'clock by how fast (50 amps). In North America, using residential sockets (32 amps, DC), loading takes about 4.5 hours.
