Chevrolet Cruze ECO - turbo 1.4-liter engine that consumes 5.9 l/100 km

On the New York Auto Show, Chevrolet Cruze compact will reveal Eco 2011. This ultra-efficient model, available in Q4 2010, is powered by a turbocharged 1.4-liter VVT that is an estimated consumption of 5.9 litres/100 km.

"Cruze Eco offers a similar efficiency hybrid vehicles, but at a lower price," said Jim Campbell, Vice President Marketing USA Chevrolet. "In addition to electric vehicle Volt, it demonstrates how Chevrolet is working to bring to market new organic products.

Chevrolet Cruze Eco has a turbocharged 1.4 liter petrol and technology VVT (variable valve timing). Created as the most efficient model range, the new Cruze Eco consumption is estimated at 40 mpg (5.88 litres/100 km), the highway system, fitted as standard with six-speed manual transmission. Fuel economy under urban and estimated consumption for the version with six-speed automatic transmission will be completed around the date of release.

Eco version of the Chevrolet Cruze get a better consumer and a number of aerodynamic changes, lower weight and reduced Drag.

Eco Chevrolet Cruze will be available on the market in the fourth quarter of 2010.

Chevrolet will present at the News York Auto Show (2-11 April 2010) and an RS Sport package, available optional equipment Cruz LT and LTZ versions.
