Chevrolet: In June, Increases The Production Of The Volt
General Motors announced that the factory in Hamtramck, Michigan where does the Chevrolet Volt, will stop production for four weeks, the plant will face upgrading work in June to put in a position to expand production of the model.
For the next three months, supply deliveries to dealers and customers will suffer delays, GM does know, but the priority now is to prepare for the Volt and Ampere's exports to Europe and China.
The Chevrolet Volt will debut on our market (and the Chinese) by the end of 2011, however, insists the house. With modernization, the Hamtramck plant will be able to host an annual production of 16,000 units for 2011 between Volt and Ampere. In 2012 we will reach a total volume of 60,000 units, 45,000 of which were assigned to the U.S. market.
