Chevrolet Volt costs 35,252 euros in Europe

Chevrolet Volt will be sold on markets in Europe with 35.252 Euro + VAT price, the manufacturer announced at the Geneva Motor Show. Chevrolet announced at a press conference at the Geneva Motor Show (which runs from March 3 to 13, 2011) that the Volt extended range electric model will be offered in Germany at a price of 41.950 Euro (VAT 19% included).

Chevrolet's European customers will enjoy the same standard warranty ani/160.000 8 km in the U.S. as the propulsion system and battery, Li-Ion Voltec - the longest and most comprehensive warranty for the battery electric vehicle in the auto industry.

"We believe that the Volt is currently the best solution for driving without a worry in the world with electric propulsion," said Wayne Brannon, Chevrolet Europe president. "The price in Europe is based on the Volt's price in the U.S., adjusted for transportation costs, import duties, exchange difference and approval."

Chevrolet Volt runs only between 40 and 80 km of electricity, with a single battery charge, then to operate the engine / generator with a 1.4-liter gasoline engine, generating electricity to drive 500 more miles on one wheel full tank of petrol.

Since its market launch by the end of last year, the Volt is already present in the first seven markets in the U.S. (California, Connecticut, Michigan, New Jersey, New York, Texas and Washington). As a result of increased demand, the company management has decided to increase domestic production so as to reach the Volt and other State markets by the end of 2011. Opel amps, built on the same working principle as the Chevrolet Volt, is available to customers to order a uniform price of 36,050 euros (recommended retail price, excluding VAT) throughout Europe. Deliveries will begin in Opel amps the fourth quarter of 2011.
