Chevrolet Volt electric model with extended battery will provide customers with an unprecedented standard warranty for eight years or 100,000 miles, its package of Li-ion batteries. It guarantees the largest auto industry, fully transferable.

Battery Pack Chevrolet Volt model consists of 161 batteries, 95% were created by General Motors, along with thermal management system, recharging system and electric motor components.
Chevrolet Volt is the only electric vehicle that can operate over a large distance, without limitation or care that the batteries could be completely discharged. The car has a range of about 340 miles (545 km), is powered solely by electricity. For the first 40 miles (65 km), Volt uses energy stored in batteries of 16 kWh, without using any fuel and emits no pollutants. When the battery power is nearly exhausted, comes into operation an internal combustion engine that generates electricity to extend autonomy for another 300 miles (480 km) with a single tank.
Yesterday, President Barack Obama visited the factory batteries in Holland, Michigan had the opportunity to climb aboard for the first time the new Chevrolet Volt.
