Chrysler and Lancia will have common products in Europe

In Europe, according to sources, Fiat plans to close Chrysler brand premium Italian brand Lancia. The two brands will share products, from small hatchbacks's to mid-range and large sedan car.

According to sources close to the Fiat Group, and Lancia Chrysler products will have common, sharing in the near future also the European distribution network. Appointment of Director of Lancia, Olivier Francois, the head of Chrysler brand, is the first step to that end, says Automotive News Europe today.

Lancia could have a replacement for its top of range - Thesis - a derivative of the new generation of model Chrysler 300C, having stopped production model this summer, the 7 years since its launch on the market.

On the other hand, Chrysler could receive a range derived from the new generation Lancia Ypsilon, scheduled for European launch late next year.
