Citroen continue into 2011 Racing Trophy

46.800 Euro is the total amount put into the game in the six steps included in the Trophy Racing Citroen Romania 2011. The first stage of the season will be in Brasov (8-9 April) and the last will be in Arad (5-6 August).

Project Racing Trophy Citroen Romania, which began with Barsa Rally 2009 will continue into 2011 and will honor all those who will compete in the National Rally Championship with Citroen Citroen C2R2-Max or DS3-R3. Citroen, the launch of the new WRC DS3 has reconfirmed its commitment to the highest level in terms of participation in the rally. Therefore, Citroen Romania has decided to continue the project started in 2009 to support pilots Citroen models competing with domestic competition. As in 2010, Citroen will record prizes totaling nearly 47,000 Euros. Entries in this trophy can be made no later than ten days before each stage and I'm sure this year will be at least as many participants as in 2010, "said Didier Gerard, director of Citroen Romania.

This year was recorded in Romania Citroen Racing Trophy six stages - four on asphalt and two on gravel. The first is from Brasov (8-9 April), followed Targu Mures (6-7 May), Cluj (28-29 May), Arges (17-18 June), Sibiu (8-9 July) and Arad ( August 5 to 6).

At each stage, will offer prizes based on the final outcome a victory in Group A. This group will be awarded 2500 Euros and 10 points. The second place will be rewarded with 1,500 euros and 8 points, 3rd place in Euro 1000 and 6 points, 4th place with 800 Euro and 4 points, and 5th place will be awarded EUR 500 and 2 points. Depending on the final rankings, compiled based on points earned at each rally, the top three finishers will receive additional awards totaling € 6,000. In addition, the driver who wins the most special stages in each rally will receive a prize of 500 euros offered by Colina Motors Trophy Racing Citroen technical partner of Romania in 2011.

Entries for the first stage of the 2011 season can be made until 24 March 2011.
