Dacia sales grew by 77% in France

Dacia continued its sustained growth in sales in August on the French market, registering a number of registrations with advanced 77.2% to 5368 units, announces NewsIn, citing data provided by CCFA.

According to French Automobile Manufacturers Committee (CCFA), the first eight months of this year, total Dacia registrations in France, the second main market after Germany, totaled 37,669 units, up 33.8% over the same period of 2008, which equals a market share of 2.3%. Dacia car registrations totaled 34,580 units, up 22.9%, the rest being commercial.

In August 2008, Dacia 3030 passenger cars and vans were registered in France, giving it a market share of 2.3%.

Following sustained advance, Dacia has reached in August 2009 to a market share of 4.1%, which places it seventh position on the French market, where Renault, Peugeot, Citroen, Ford, Volkswagen and Opel.

Meanwhile cars, Dacia registrations on the French market rose in August to 62.1% from August 2008 to 4910 units, corresponding to a market share of 4.4%.

Total registrations of passenger cars and vans in France increased by 0.6% in August compared to the same month last year to 130,300 units, but remain down in the first eight months, with a decline of 3.4%, to 1,672,546 units.
