Dacia sales in Europe rose by 10.1%

Dacia car registrations in the EU in the first two months of this year stood at 38,545 units, up 10.1% to 35,021 units reported in the same period last year, according to ACEA statistics.

Dacia car registrations in Europe totaled 18,726 units in February, up 5.4% compared to February 2010 (17,772 units), and the market share of domestic automobile manufacturer was maintained at 1.8%.

A slightly lower growth rate (7.3%) was recorded for Dacia car registrations in Western Europe market, the first two months of this year 33,993 units were registered, compared to 31,668 units during January-February 2010. Dacia controls 1.7% of Western European car market, up from 1.6% in the first two months of 2010.

For the period January-February 2011, the market share of domestic car manufacturer increased slightly, from 1.7 to 1.8%, according to the European Automobile Manufacturers Association.
