Fiat of Italy would leave

Fiat would have better financial performance without Italy, where none of the five plants owned auto group in the peninsula without profit due to lack of competitiveness, said Sergio Marchionne, Fiat CEO.

Neither one of the 2 billion euro as Fiat estimated that profit this year will not come from Italy, where all passenger car manufacturing plants are at a loss, Marchionne said in a television broadcast. "Fiat would be better off if Italy would withdraw its results. We can not continue to have operations at a loss indefinitely, "said the Italian company director, quoted by Automotive News Europe.

Marchionne is now concerned about union strikes after the start of a battle unprecedented productivity improvements at Fiat, which could have significant repercussions in Italy's rigid industry.

Sergio Marchionne gave the example of the plant in Poland, where workers with only 6100 Fiat Tychy produces about as many cars as in the five factories in Italy, which has over 22,000 employees.
