Ford builds a new factory in Thailand, the new generation Focus |

Ford announced it would invest 450 million dollars in a new plant in Rayong, Thailand, where, in 2012, will begin producing next-generation Ford Focus for the local market for Asia-Pacific region.
New production facility built by the highest standards and latest technologies, will be able to produce a wide variety of products in the future, and will start construction of the new generation Ford Focus in 2012 for local market and for export Asia - Pacific.
New Ford factory in Thailand will create 11,000 new jobs including 2,200 direct jobs and 8800 indirect Ford by network providers and distribution.
"Today's announcement is another important step in our expansion plan in the Asia Pacific region to meet demand for Ford products in this area in full development," said Alan Mullaly, president and CEO of Ford. 'Overall, we hotorâţi to deliver a complete line of machines Ford best quality, efficient with fuel, safe and modern technology to clients.
With an initial capacity of 150,000 units per year, this new factory will be equipped with the latest automated equipment and processes and systems will use Ford's global manufacturing. Up to 85% of the plant will be sold outside Thailand.
