Ford Fiesta, 1 million units sold in Europe

Current generation Ford Fiesta sales reached one million in Europe, after only 28 months since its launch on the market. Nearly a quarter of that amount went to Britain, where new Fiesta has been chosen by 239,742 customers.

When he arrived in European showrooms in October 2008, Ford Fiesta has opened a new era in small car design, performance and functionality. Available as three and five-door hatchback with a wide range of engines, Fiesta quickly became a success in sales, the best-selling model in the UK market in January 2009.

Who bought the Ford Fiesta in England?

  • Fiesta 74% of customers have chosen to equip middle and high versions
  • 30% of the models are three-door hatchback and the remaining 70% are five-door models
  • The most popular color is "Black Panther"
  • 76% motor gasoline
  • Automatic transmission models sales are growing, accumulating nearly 10%
  • The most popular choices are Voice Control, Bluetooth and USB, being added to approximately 42% of cars sold.

Fiesta is the most successful European model, with sales totaling 14 million units in its first market launch in 1976.

The Ford Fiesta is manufactured in factories Clogne, Germany and Valencia, Spain.
