Ford Focus airbags will introduce with new technology

The new generation Focus in 2012 will introduce the first new technology that will improve protection airbags for front seat occupants in frontal impact and the most common side.

Series of innovations including the next generation of Ford's airbags for the driver with enhanced chest protection. The new bag has a particular curved bottom, creating a "pocket" to reduce the impact to the chest and ribs driver airbag in a frontal impact.

Inovativele side airbags in the shoulder include valves that remain open and reduce pressure for smaller occupants of the forces normally receive reduced. Taller occupants, whose shoulder block valves will benefit from a higher pressure.

The new Ford Focus will be the first that will benefit from new technology adaptive airbags for the passenger on the right. Control module adjusts the gas bag according to the position on the seat occupant. The new right passenger airbag is designed to improve head and neck protection from airbag deployment depending on the size of the occupant.

The new air bags will be found as standard on all versions of the Ford Focus 2012 will be sold next year in the United States. Gradually in the coming years will be introduced on other Ford models.
