In Europe, Chrysler and Dodge models will be replaced by Lancia and Fiat

By 2011, Chrysler and Dodge brands will disappear slowly from the European market, is replaced by Lancia and Fiat models. American manufacturer will remain in name only Jeep in the region, under the restructuring plan.

The Chrysler group's restructuring plan, drawn up by Fiat, Chrysler Voyager model will be marketed in Europe under the brand Lancia to replace your Phedra minivan.

Also, the next generation of the Chrysler 300C will be converted into successor product Lancia Thesis sedan, while the Sebring sedan and a new generation of crossover will get all the name Lancia in Europe.

Furthermore, model Dodge Journey will be sold as a replacement model manufactured by Fiat Ulysse. Croma Hatchback site will be replaced by a Dodge sedan and crossover Sedici will be replaced by the successor of Dodge Nitro.

"In North America, Lancia models are complementary and the Chrysler brand in Europe will be reversed," said Francois Olivier, CEO of Chrysler and Lancia brands. In the first 10 months of 2009, half of Chrysler Group sales outside North America were made by Jeep brand, and that decision is perfectly normal to streamline costs and restructuring the American company.
