Infiniti G will receive Mercedes engines

Infiniti G sedan will be powered with 4-cylinder engines from Mercedes.

Fresh alliance between Daimler and Nissan started to produce consequences. One of those consequences is strictly related to Infiniti, the luxury division of Nissan, which will receive the Mercedes engines.

More specifically, Inifiniti G will be powered by four cylinder engines from Mercedes. I am not sure which engine will be borrowed Japanese sedan, but the fact that Infiniti will benefit from a high-tech 4-cylinder Mercedes is confirmed even by Carlos Ghosn, CEO of Nissan.

Danger of cannibalizing between Infiniti and Mercedes is minimal, given that it is just engines and provided that market research shows that customers of the two brands do not intersect at all.
