Jaguar and Land Rover are expanding heavily in China

Jaguar Land Rover, owned by the Indians from Tata Motors, plans to have 100 dealers in China by the end of this year, 40 more than the present, according to a China Daily quoted the official.

Bob Grace, president of Jaguar Land Rover China, said that the Chinese market is a main company, but declined to comment on rumors emerged since last year, according to which JLR seek a partner to produce vehicles in this country.

Last year, Jaguar sales in China had increased by 50 percent, up to 2,700 units, while Land Rover sales have doubled, reaching 23,500 units.

Jaguar has opened a showroom in Beijing last month, where it expects to sell about 400 cars this year. The brand has opened a new dealer and Tianjin, with an annual target of 200 units.
