Jaguar Director: "We need a crossover"

Jaguar consider introducing a crossover / SUV models in its range to attract younger customers and women. The new model could be built on a Land Rover.

Adrian Hallmark, the new director of Jaguar, came recently from the position of sales manager at Saab, said the expanding range of models. "We need a crossover and should cease to be just a sedan-based company."

Adrian Hallmark said that Jaguar Land Rover wants to be involved in the global race based on the books, preferring to keep its niche brands. However, Jaguar should be extended, and an SUV is one of those possibilities. "We must attract more women and younger customers to our brand and know that women do not seek a high class saloon cars but prefer high driving position."

Hallmark says he likes the Infiniti FX is a machine that "strong personality" and the new Jaguar SUV would be built on a Land Rover while retaining its DNA.

Before you see a crossover / SUV market Jaguar, the British sports car could launch a smaller, positioned in the XK, while the XF will receive a facelift in early 2012.
