Japanese inventor creates a single pedal for braking and accelerating
Masuyuki Naruse, Japanese inventor of 74 years, has created the only pedal to accelerate and brake.
In practice, to accelerate enough rest the right foot on the pedal and turn it clockwise, and to stop the car just pressing the pedal pressure as on conventional cars.
This is an unconventional solution, but the inventor is convinced of his idea, because it considers the most comfortable and ergonomic single pedal of the classic two or three pedals on these cars.
Again according to Naruse, one pedal for braking and accelerating are well suited to electric cars, because they take advantage of the brake-by-wire system.
