Lexus CT 200h Has Scored The Maximum Five Euro NCAP Stars

CT 200h Lexus received five stars in Euro NCAP tests, with a score of 83/100. This score is well above the minimum score necessary to obtain the five stars and placed among the safest new Lexus vehicles in the premium compact segment.

This achievement is especially noteworthy because in 2009 Euro NCAP adopted a more stringent set of rules on safety tests. The current program includes four areas of scoring - adult occupants, occupants of children, pedestrians and security assisted protection. Avoiding injury and hazard mitigation functions, such as for seat belt warning sound, ESP and speed limiter are also listed, so getting a score of five stars has become more difficult from year to year.

The child occupant test, CT 200h scored a very good, both for child protection for 18 months and for the child of three years.

And the category pedestrian protection the front bar offered good protection underfoot, scoring maximum points Euro NCAP.

With a rigid body and a good capacity for absorption in an impact, and many elements of passive protection in the event of impact or pedestrians, CT Lexus 200h is designed to provide the best safety performance. The new Lexus is the only car in its segment to offer knee airbags for both driver and passenger's right. The model has eight airbags as standard. Knee airbags are designed to leave the bottom of the scoreboard, while the front airbags to reduce the risk of injury from contact with the steering column or dashboard structures downstream. They also help to reduce injuries to the head and chest and pelvic bones by reducing the movement of torso rotation, where a major impact.
