Mazda Laguna Seca circuit is first in the world accessible through Google Street View

Legendary Mazda Laguna Seca circuit in California is now visible from the computer through the Google Street View. Motorsport fans can browse the entire circuit from the perspective of a car.

Entire Mazda Laguna Seca circuit, from the needle hair "Andretti" to turn "Corkscrew", in terms of a car participating in the championship final round American Le Mans in 2008, was filmed using a spherical camera, multi lens, mounted on a car, images were then combined with the overall photos and GPS and other geo-spatial data in order to reproduce a true gaze at the circuit.

Thus, Mazda Laguna Seca circuit is first visible on Google Sreet View, a fully-deserved honor. Circuit for 52 years hosted the largest U.S. motoring events including "Speed World Challenge" and "WSBK Superbike World Championship, among many others. Considered one of the toughest circuits - with 11 curves, a length of 3.6 kilometers and different levels of up to 91 meters -, Mazda Laguna Seca was over the years test-drive their host to thousands of prototypes.

One famous model concept testing in the 1980s, was a small Mazda roadster with two seats. The product was to take later in the Book of Records as the best-selling two-seat sports car of all time - Mazda MX-5 - which this year celebrates the twentieth anniversary.

Mazda is the main sponsor of the circuit and continues to regularly test the prototypes for the U.S. market and organize their own races across the United States, including Mazda MX-5 Cup and Formula Mazda.
