Mazda5 will be sold under the brand Nissan
Nissan and Mazda announced today that the two companies have reached an agreement to expand the supply of products to OEM Nissan Mazda. Thus, in May 2011, Mazda will build models for Nissan Premacy/Mazda5.
Nissan Business OEM (original equipment manufacturing) involving a large number of manufacturers around the world, each agreement is beneficial to both parties. With this new deal, Nissan will expand its lineup with a vehicle based on the Mazda MPV. The deal will contribute to Nissan's global investment efficiency.
Mazda Premacy model developed (sold outside Japan under the name Mazda5) as a minivan and it sells globally in approximately 16 countries and regions worldwide. Mazda5/Premacy is one of the major products of the Japanese manufacturer, with a volume of 885,000 units produced (March 1999 - December 2010). Under the agreement, Mazda will provide a clearly differentiated version of the model Premacy/Mazda5 to be sold by Nissan in Japan.
Mazda and Nissan also have OEM type other collaborations. Mazda Bongo van provided by Nissan (sold as the Nissan Vanette), while Nissan offers model AD / AD Expert, sold as the Mazda Familia Van.
