MINI Cooper launches SD 2.0 turbodiesel 143 bhp engine

A few months after the launch of the new MINI and MINI Countryman family, the start of 2011 brings a new wave of news from some British brand. MINI Cooper SD, which will be released in the spring, will be the version with the most powerful diesel engine.

The new 2.0-liter engine that develops 143 hp will be available for MINI, MINI Clubman, the MINI Convertible and MINI Countryman. Furthermore, motor sports enthusiasts will welcome the new John Cooper Works package available on the MINI and MINI Convertible.

The new MINI SD Countryman sprints from 0-100 km / h in 9.3 seconds, and four-wheel drive version ALL4 in 9.4 seconds. The front-wheel drive has an average consumption of 4.6 litres/100 km, and SD Cooper MINI Countryman ALL4 consumes 4.9 litres/100 km.

Models equipped with the new 143 hp turbo diesel engine come standard with manual transmission with six reports. Optionally available is a six-speed automatic gearbox also.
