Morgan EvaGT will go into production in 2012

British manufacturer Morgan Motor Company unveiled the first details and pictures of his new vehicle EvaGT. Retro-looking model, with four seats, using a 3.0-liter turbo engine from BMW and will go into production in 2012.

3.0-liter engine generates 306 hp BMW provenance and 400 Nm, able to propel the 1250 kg car from 0-100 km / h in 4.5 seconds. According to the data sheet, the average consumption is just 7.06 litres/100km, and the maximum speed is 273 km / h. Customers can choose between a manual and an automatic transmission, both six-speed.

Morgan EvaGT full use of aluminum, especially for chassis and bodywork. Despite low weight, retro-looking vehicle can easily accommodate four passengers with enough space for their luggage.

Morgan EvaGT new model, presented in world premiere at the 60th Pebble Beach Concours d'Elegance edition, California, will enter limited production of 100 units in 2012. Prices will vary between 70,000 and 85,000 pounds (equivalent to 85,500 to 103,000 euros).
