Speaking at the Auto Show in Shanghai, Director of Jaguar Cars, Mike O'Driscoll has confirmed that the new model generation XJ will be launched on the market at the end of 2009, and formal disclosure will take place on July 9 in London.

New Jaguar XJ will be the first car to qualify for the next generation of architectural aluminum, inspired by the aviation industry, alongside new ultra-efficient motor, Gen III petrol and diesel (including propulsorul diesel V6 and V8 the turbo 510 PA).
