New Opel Astra ordered 150,000 units

European orders for new Astra 5 have risen from 150,000 in just five months after market launch. This performance put in a position to overcome Astra sales volume planned for Europe, 180,000 units in first year.
In our country, the share of the new model in Opel's sales in 2010 is 30%.
Success is reflected in registration figures in Europe: registrations for five-door Astra rose by over 54% during January-April 2010 compared with its predecessor a year ago.
To exit to meet demand for the Astra model, which has received "Golden Steering Wheel" and design award "red dot" Opel plant in Gliwice currently working with additional shifts. Astra 5-door is around 50% of total Astra sales in Europe.
