New Peugeot 408 - World Premiere in China |

Today, the world's first in China, in front of 300 journalists and over 700 representatives of Chinese dealers, the new Peugeot 408 marks another step in the offensive mark on the biggest French car market in the world.
Although Peugeot is currently in China only five years, French brand has sold over 410,000 cars in 2009. This means a growth of 44% of sales turnover compared to 2008.
After the good performance of the M1 segment, the success of 307 sedans and 307 notch-back 3,522,800 units produced worldwide, especially for the Chinese market Peugeot launches a new offensive with its new Peugeot 408 DF.
New Sedan (notchback) created specifically for the Chinese market will strengthen the product line offered by Dong Feng (DF) Peugeot in M1 segment, which consolidates more than 45% of total sales.
Architecture of the new sedan was designed by Peugeot's design teams in Europe and China, targeting the fulfillment of three objectives: to integrate modern brand, to ensure maximum safety and offer the largest interior space in its class.
Dong Feng Peugeot 408 will be produced at its plant in Wuhan Hubei Province China with a sales target of 100,000 units per year.
For European markets, will replace the current Peugeot 407 and 607 to 508 future, expected in 2011.
