New Renault Kangoo VAN power will be produced in France in 2011

After Zoe and Twizy, Renault announced that it will produce and Kangoo ZE concept, the third of four concepts presented in the series premiere in Frankfurt. The new electric model will be built in France and will reach market late in 2011.

Renault announced last week for two production sites in four new electric cars, expected to concepts at the Frankfurt Motor Show. After Zoe and Twizy, Renault announced it would build a production model after Kangoo ZE concept to M.C.A. (Maubeuge Construction Automobile), in northern France, from the first half of 2011.

The new model will be built electric Kangoo on the same assembly line as the classic version engine, with the expertise and current supply chain model. Trained as LCV (light commercial vehicles) for 20 years, the plant now produces models Maubeuge Kangoo, Kangoo Van and Kangoo be bop, be able to adapt to demand and diversity of these types of vehicles.

Kangoo be bop Z.E. and Kangoo Z.E. Concepts have been precursors of future electric Kangoo Van that will be built for professionals, mainly for urban and suburban. In addition to reduced environmental impact, the new Renault Kangoo Van Electric promises to have reduced maintenance costs and ownership.

At the Frankfurt Motor Show, Renault presented the first four innovative electrical machines, in the form of concept, to be released in several versions between 2011 and 2013. In August, Nissan revealed Leaf electric model, a medium-sized hatchback, which will be released in late 2010 in Japan, Europe and USA.
