Official: Citroen DS4, premiere in Paris

Citroen revealed today the first details and photos with new DS4, a unique pattern and attractive, full of dynamism, versatility and exclusivity. DS4, the second model in the range of SD, after DS3 will be presented the world premiere in Paris.

New Citroen DS4 combines sophistication and refinement of a coupe-style body dynamics, creating an extraordinary versatility with a compact (4.27 m long, 1.81 meters wide and 1.53 meters high).

DS4 offers a new driving experience, the sensation of driving without rival and on-road agility. With its slightly raised and taut lines, DS4 is a unique and attractive vehicle in its segment. Citroen DS4 was created with great attention to detail, from chrome accents outside to its premium cabin materials, and the finest leather upholstery.

Combining practical style door 2 +2 coupe, Citroen DS4 offers three individual rear seats, accessible through the rear door handles hidden, perfectly integrated into the body line. DS4 also benefit from a trunk of 370 liters and a range of intelligent storage solutions.

Like the exterior, the interior of Citron DS4 exudes power, dynamism and refinement. Driving position is comfortable and chromed buttons are placed ergonomically shaped. Sculptural board is very gentle because it is made of material texture. The interior is dominated by panoramic windscreen, which extends to the ceiling. Offering a visual angle of 45 ° up, together with high position of the car windshield offers enhanced visibility, but also an intimate and airy atmosphere for all passengers on board.

Citroen DS4 new customers will have five combinations of leather chairs, including the option of using two colors. Models with superior equipment receiving the finest leather on the dashboard and interior door, complemented by model type "wristlet" of seats. Chrome accents around the aerators, the instruments on board, the gear lever and center console enhances the feeling of luxury. Inside, attention to detail DS4 anchored in a dynamic and exclusive world, illustrated by aluminum brake pedal, door handles and leather ambient lighting.

The range of engines for the new Citroen prepared DS4 is composed of five units refined and efficient: two petrol and three HDi diesel which comply with the future Euro 5. All engines offer a perfect balance between power and fuel consumption.

The two HDi units - the HDi 110 bhp (available in e-HDi version) and 160 bhp HDi equipped with DPF particulate filter. Petrol units - VTi 120 and THP 155 THP 200 new - have been developed in cooperation with BMW. THP 200 hp new engine - based on 1.6-liter engine - offers a flexible power and performance thanks enviable power of 147 kW and 275 Nm of torque at 1700 rpm, with emissions of just 149 grams CO 2 / km. All engines are available with manual or automatic transmission (ESG Electronic Gearbox System), with six steps.

Citroen DS4 enjoy MacPherson type suspension, semi-independent rear axle, and power steering pump - tested solutions that fit perfectly with different settings of the machine. Depending on equipment level, DS4 enjoy ventilated brake discs increased in diameter (340 mm), and electronic brake control in the standard, including ABS with electronic brake force distribution (EBD) and assistance emergency brake (EBA). In addition, the model is fitted with intelligent traction control system to maintain the trajectory (ESP), providing optimal control of vehicle in the most delicate situations.

New Citroen DS4 will be presented in the public world premiere at the Paris Motor Show (2 to 17 October 2010) and sales are expected to begin in early 2011.
