Jaguar has today confirmed that the C-X75 superb concept that has made its debut in 2010 at the Paris Motor Show, has received the green light for series production hybrid market and will reach the end of 2013.

The new Jaguar supercar, which still keeps the name C-X75 concept is developed and built in partnership with Williams F1 team and the Indians from Tata Motors, a company that now owns Jaguar brand.

Williams will provide the knowledge acquired in the F1 world, particularly in terms of aerodynamic design, propulsion and efficient design of carbon fiber. The new Jaguar supercar will have a complete structure of carbon fiber to keep weight as low total and reduce fuel consumption.

Micro technology, used the concept of C-X75 will not enter into production for release in 2013, but the final version will include a hybrid with two electric motors and internal combustion one, with four-wheel drive.

However, both Jaguar and Tata Motors have confirmed that they will introduce technology to the micro car, which means that in a later I could see the new Jaguar supercar so equipped.

Regarding the planned hybrid, Jaguar will use a four-cylinder engine with 1.6 liter turbo, similar to that adopted by Williams and other teams in Formula 1 championship in 2013. This smaller engine capacity will be helped by two electric motors powered by the energy of Li-Ion. There will be three driving modes: 100% electric, with a range of up to 50 km; mode hybrid gasoline engine is working with the electric track mode (circuit) in which everything is set up performance.

Jaguar promises fuel efficiency comparable to a hybrid sedan on the market available today, so an average of 4.5 litres/100km with CO2 emissions below 99 grams / km.

But its dynamic performance will be comparable to a Bugatti Veyron. Initial tests are talking about an acceleration from 0-100 km / h in three seconds and a top speed exceeding 320 km / h.

Developed and built entirely in England, those of Jaguar supercar will be built only 250 units at a starting price of 700,000 pounds (about 790,000 euros), according to the market.
