Opel Astra 20 CDTI with Start Stop better by 13

Opel Astra is now offering 2.0 CDTI (118 kW/160 hp) ecoFLEX Technology package that incorporates Start / Stop. This package, optional on the 2.0 CDTI version with manual gearbox and lead to an economy of 0.8 litres/100 km.

The combined cycle system Start / Stop the Astra hatchback reduce average emissions from 129 to 119 grams per kilometer and consumption from 4.9 to 4.5 litres/100 km (a 13% improvement). Thus, Opel Astra combines high performance with exceptional efficiency (118 kW/160 hp) and high torque (350 Nm).

Opel Astra ecoFLEX Sports Tourer with Technology package is equally impressive. It now consumes 4.7 liters of diesel per 100 km, compared to the previous value of 5.1, and produces 124 grams CO 2 / km, down to 134 grams.

Introducing the function Start / Stop the technology package is another step ecoFLEX Opel in its efforts to reduce fuel consumption and greenhouse emissions. The system was developed and recently launched Opel Corsa 1.3 CDTI ecoFLEX on whose performance (95 HP) come with a consumption of just 3.5 litres/100 km, the equivalent of only 94 grams of CO2 per kilometer.

Function Start / Stop is now available Opel Agila, Corsa and Astra. Since spring 2012, the company will offer 34 models with this technology, including all versions of Astra and diesel engines, equipped with manual transmission.
