Opel Astra ecoFLEX now with Start / Stop and consumption of just 3.9 litres/100 km

Opel Astra 1.3 CDTI ecoFLEX released new coming on the market with greater efficiency. 5-door hatchback version and the system Start / Stop reduce CO2 emissions from 109 to 104 g / km and the average consumption of 3.9 litres/100 km from 4.1.

Opel Astra ecoFLEX is powered by a turbocharged 1.3-liter CDTI diesel engine that develops 70 kW / 95 HP which has now received a new control unit E59 and Improvements in water-cooled gas recirculation to reduce emissions . The engine is equipped with DPF particulate filter as standard, is coupled to a gearbox and five-speed manual is optimized to reduce fuel consumption.

If the five-door hatchback 1.3 CDTI ecoFLEX is available with or without start / stop system, Sports Tourer Opel Asra is sold only with this system, leading to an average consumption of just 4.1 litres/100 km and 109 grams CO2/km.

Is part of Astra ecoFLEX Opel ecoFLEX model range with low CO2 emissions, including the Corsa 1.3 CDTI (70 kW / 95 hp) with 94 g / km and Insignia 2.0 CDTI (118 kW / 160 hp) with only 129 g / km.

The German strategy of emission reduction continues with new alternative propulsion systems such as extended range electric vehicles. The first model will be the new Opel amps, scheduled for launch in late 2011, followed by other 100% electric and hybrid vehicles.
