In January 2010, the new Opel Corsa ecoFLEX with the 95 hp and 190 Nm torque developed 1.3 CDTI engine, offers more dynamic driving pleasure at a consumption of only 3.7 litres/100 km and emissions CO2 98 g / km.
Starting in January, 2010, the new Opel Corsa ecoFLEX will meet more environmental rules and provide more driving pleasure than ever. It is powered by a sophisticated 1.3 CDTI diesel engine and an output of 70 kW/95 hp, more of a variable geometry turbocharger. And an output 28 percent higher than the previous generation Corsa ecoFLEX, even if it has a fuel consumption and CO2 emissions than low, with about 10 percent.
The new Opel Corsa ecoFLEX philosophy illustrates, to create eco-friendly cars but provide pleasure driving. With a torque of 190 Nm, available at speeds between 1750 and 3250 rpm, the Corsa ecoFLEX needs only 3.7 liters per 100 km, with CO2 emissions of only 98 g / km, for three-door version. The five-door Corsa has emissions of 99 g / km.
Both versions are equipped as standard with a diesel particulate filter that reduces the emissions extremely harmful to health. The Corsa ecoFLEX model, vehicle fleets and private motorists in many European countries can take advantage of special eco taxes, without polluting the air with diesel particulate.
New Corsa ecoFLEX engine combines two strengths: low CO2 emissions and high performance. Opel engineers have achieved this using a variable geometry turbocharger which substantially increases engine performance. To help produce a greater pressure turbocharger, engineers have slightly reduced the compression ratio from 18:1 to 16.8: 1. They also optimized engine calibration and ensured a large increase in the minimum torque and maximum torque final, allowing for a new configuration of the transmission: the five-speed unit has chosen a higher transmission ratio. The new model that develops a power of 95 HP has a top speed of 177 km / h and requires only 12.3 seconds to accelerate from 0 to 100 km / h. This configuration of report large green transmission is working to reduce CO2 emission below 100 g.
Aerodynamics was improved by lowering the ground clearance by 20 mm and optimize airflow through the intake slot. Wheels are fitted with wheel caps new, more effective. The Corsa ecoFLEX is fitted with special tires, 175/70, resistant to wear and optimized, and lighter wheels of steel, formed by casting of 14 "- those 15" are optional extras.
