Porsche 911 Carrera 4 GTS: 408 HP + Four-Wheel Drive

Porsche Carrera, and extends the top end models equipped two-wheel-drive 911 Carrera GTS. Thus, GTS Porsche 911 Carrera 4 Coupe and Cabriolet 408 bhp engine will combine the series four-wheel drive GTS PTM.

The new Porsche 911 Carrera GTS combines four six-cylinder engine of 3.8 liters that develops 408 bhp with an intelligent all-wheel drive PTM (Porsche Traction Management) that delivers a new dimension to the iconic sports car dynamics. 911 was first offered all-wheel drive in 1989 and since then has been a very popular option. Now, the new 911 Carrera 4 GTS offers customers a new alternative in 2011, built on the success of rear-wheel drive version of the Carrera GT, due out in December last year.

Porsche 911 Carrera 4's engine develops 23 hp GTS more than the Carrera S, bringing its total power to 408 hp at 7300 rpm. Changes led to the development of powertrain torque of 320 Nm at just 1,500 rpm and 420 Nm maximum being available between 4200 and 5600 rpm.

Porsche 911 Carrera 4 Coupe GTS accelerates from 0-100 km / h in 4.6 seconds and a convertible version, Cabriolet, in 4.8 seconds. The standard transmission is a six-speed manual gearbox, but customers can choose the optional dual-clutch automatic gearbox and PDK 0.2 seconds quicker acceleration to 100 km / h.

Porsche 911 Carrera 4 Coupe GTS costs 111 956 Euro in Germany and the Convertible version has a starting price of 122,071 Euros (including 19% VAT). Both models will be available from July 2011.
