Porsche Spyder 918 hybrid edition limited to 918 units costing 645,000 Euro

Porsche has announced that super model introduced in limited production sports hybrid 918 Spyder. Available now for ordering at a price of 645.000 Euro without taxes, the new Porsche 918 Spyder will reach its first customers in September 2013.

Having been very well received at the Geneva Motor Show 2010, Porsche decided to introduce the concept to mass production 918 Spyder which stunned the world hybrid. Thanks to unique technology, the Porsche 918 Spyder is estimated at only 3 consumption litres/100 km, according to the standards NEDC (New European Driving Cycle).

Porsche 918 Spyder is powered by a single hybrid system. It consists of a V8 with a trap of just over 4 liters that develops 368 kW/500 hp. The unit is centrally located motor racing based on what has proven qualities Porsche RS Spyder. Two additional electric motors - one for each deck - offers more than 160 kW / 218 hp. Energy storage unit consists of a Li-Ion battery with liquid cooling that can be recharged from a normal outlet in 3 hours, can propel the vehicle 100% electric mode up to 25 km.

Porsche 918 Spyder accelerates from 0-100 km / h in 3.2 seconds and top speed is over 320 km / h. But despite this dynamic performance, average fuel consumption is predicted at 3.0 litres/100 km, the equivalent of 70 grams of CO2 per kilometer.

To ensure exclusivity ultra-sporty model 918 Spyder, Porsche has announced that its production will be limited to 918 units while a copy price is 645.000 Euro, excluding taxes.

Orders that started today will be honored in order of their arrival, and actual production will begin on September 18, 2013, the German manufacturer's plant in Stuttgart-Zuffenhausen. First deliveries are expected in November 2013.
