PSA and Mitsubishi have signed collaboration agreement electric vehicles

Directors PSA Peugeot Citroen and Mitsubishi have signed cooperation agreement in Paris today represents another step in their partnership for electric vehicles. Peugeot and Citroen will launch its i-MiEV EV based.

The three main points of this cooperation agreement are:

  • Developing an electric vehicle (EV) for the European markets based on Japanese model Mitsubishi i-MiEV.
  • Electric vehicle is intended only Europe, being sold under the brand Peugeot and Citroen
  • Production is scheduled to begin in October 2010 and commercial launch in the European markets will be by the end of 2010.

Mitsubishi launched its first electric vehicle, i-MiEV in June in Japan, and will start global sales in markets where they drive on the left, this year, and in other areas in 2010.

For PSA Peugeot Citroën, this new electric vehicle will contribute to lower CO2 emissions ranges, with diesel-hybrid technology, which will be launched in 2011 to 3008 HYbrid4 Peugeot and Citroen DS5 Hybrid4. In 2012 SAP confirmed it will launch a diesel HYbrid4 type plug-in ".
