Renault Megane RS N4, a new standard for rally

With its special design and much acclaimed qualities of the chassis and engine, the Megane Renaultsport 250 is now ready to become a racing car. Megane RS N4 is designed for private teams competing in Group N and costs 57,500 euros.
As the only car manufacturer that offers a range of models based on the rules of the group R, Renaultsport Megane RS Technologies is launching N4. Developed for racing on asphalt, the new fireball racing wants to set new standards of performance.
Given the same intrinsic qualities that the Megane Renaultsport 250, the new Megane RS N4 approved for Group N is the successor of famous models in the past 25 years: 5 GT Turbo, Turbo R11, R21 2l Turbo R19 16V Renaultsport Clio Williams and Clio.
To keep costs low in Group N are strict rules regarding engine changes that may be made to the original series. These constraints are however advantages to Megane Renaultsport N4 benefiting fully from the technology used for the production model. PerfoHub independent suspension allows engineers to build a chassis that combines traction, directional stability and comfort in total safety. Use adjustable dampers in three different settings also allow appropriate for all driving styles.
Under the hood, engine performance 2.0 16v tubo were improved by optimizing the electronic control system (ECU). Despite restrictions Regulation Megane Renaultsport N4 produces 265 hp and 470 Nm of torque (versus 250 hp and 340 Nm on the version number), its engine is mated to a five-speed gearbox developed specifically.
Under FIA regulations, is open Group N cars in series production in 2500 over the same units for a period exceeding 12 consecutive months.
New Renault Megane RS N4 has a base price of 57,500 euros.
