Renault Megane RS preparing a 300 hp

New Renault Megane RS has been caught during testing at the Nurburgring circuit.

It seems that Renault is developing a model Megane RS stronger. The current model has 50 hp less than the Ford Focus RS. Megane RS has a turbocharged 2.0-liter gasoline, with an output of 250 hp and is equipped with latest technologies, including Dynamic RS Management (a system that allows three modes ESP) and RS Monitor (integrated telemetry) for a launch price of 22,600 euros, VAT included.

The new Megane RS could use a turbocharged 2.0-liter propellant as to develop 300 hp. Extra power would be more than enough to compete with the new Focus RS and the new Astra OPC.

In terms of design, it will be less optimized to provide improved aerodynamics and cooling. Will receive a new front grille and bar, their role will be to facilitate engine cooling and brake. The new Megane RS will be one of the first models will be developed by British engineer Steve Marvin.

Renault could also launch a performance moAdel. It will use glass, plastic and carbon fiber panels to reduce vehicle weight. The new RS will be produced optmiza Spain to production costs.
