Renault will produce a vehicle based on the concept Zoe ZE in France
Renault has decided to produce its future electric model city Flins French factory, near Paris. Based on the concept ZEO ZE, which was presented at the Frankfurt Motor Show, the new low-power class will reach the market in 2012.
Renault has chosen Flins plant to produce its future electric model, since the location is specialized in the production of cars in segment B (new Clio Campus and Clio). Choosing this location is also based on Renault aim to produce machines as close as possible outlets for cost optimization. Thus, Flins plant will become a major center of manufacturing activity Renault electric vehicles.
Flins plant will begin production of electric model town in 2012, anticipating that the new model Renault will own two thirds of Group sales in Europe.
At the recent Frankfurt Motor Show, Renault presented the first four innovative electrical machines, in the form of concept, to be released in several versions between 2011 and 2013. In August, Nissan revealed Leaf electric model, a medium-sized hatchback, which will be released in late 2010 in Japan, Europe and USA.
