Skoda has increased sales by 13.2%

Skoda has managed to continue to increase thanks to August performance, both in China and in other important areas. In the first eight months of the year, 493,200 vehicles were delivered to customers (January-August 2009: 435,602, +13.2%).
Only in August 2010, Škoda Auto has been compared to August 2009, an increase of 11.5%, 55,940 vehicles were sold.
Regions of Central and Eastern Europe and those from overseas, continue to grow, and in China have exceeded 100,000 sales. We especially enjoy the increased attention paid by our customers GreenLine Skoda models, "said Prof. Dr. hc Winfried Vahland, Chairman of the Board Škoda Auto.
In China, the largest market for Skoda Auto, in January in August 2010, 115,250 vehicles were delivered, which means an increase of 71.2% over the same period the previous year (January-August 2009: 67,324 units ). General sales in markets outside Europe (excluding China) increased by 48.6%.
In Central and Eastern Europe, Skoda has managed to further increase sales and market share, despite difficult market conditions.
In Czech, the country of Škoda Auto, were delivered to customers in January-August period, a total of 38,257 units (January-August 2009: 34,973, 9.4%). Market share in the Czech Skoda brand has grown as to 33.73% (January-August 2009: 31.05%).
In Western Europe (without Germany), Škoda Auto has managed a 27.4% plus delivery. Countries such as Portugal, Norway, Sweden, Finland and Britain have reported increased demand for the Skoda brand.
Preferred Skoda models in August 2010 (compared to August 2009): Octavia (23,314 vehicles / 13.2%) Fabia (16,514 vehicles / -14.6%), Superb (7945 vehicles / 153.4%) Yeti (3966 vehicles) Roomster (2322 autovehicule/-28 2%), Octavia Tour (1879 autovehicule/-36 4%).
