Skoda sales increased by 13% in first seven months of the year

Skoda registered in the first seven months increased by 13 percent of car sales. July marked the continuing upward trend in the delivery.

In July, the biggest Czech carmaker Skoda, continued its upward trend. Delivery to the customer number has increased steadily since the beginning of the year, reaching 437,260 vehicles on 31/07/2010, 13.4% more than last year. Only in the seventh month of this year, Škoda Auto has recorded, thanks to the 58,513 units sold, up 4.8% from July 2009.

An important contribution to these positive results has the Chinese market. There was in addition to delivery in July 2010, compared to the same month the previous year by 54.3%. These percentage figures correspond to a total of 15,549 vehicles. Similarly, Skoda and other markets are developing excellent. in regions overseas sales increased during the first seven months of this year with more than 70.4% and in Eastern Europe, despite difficult market conditions, with 9.3%.

Skoda has recorded increases in sales and home market. The Czech clients have been delivered in January-July 2010, a total of 34,454 vehicles, ie by 11.4% than the same period last year. Thus the market share of Skoda brand in the country of origin amounted to 35.1%.

The second largest market of traditional Czech brand, in terms of sales volume, is still Germany. In July 7667 there were registered Skoda vehicles.

Skoda models preferred July 2010 (compared to July 2009): Octavia (23,988 vehicles / 11.9%) Fabia (17,669 vehicles / -24.7%), Superb (7653 vehicles / 187.6%), Yeti (3966 vehicles), Octavia Tour (2847 autovehicule/-12, 9%) Roomster (2390 autovehicule/-46, 7%).
